This is just a quick one to say that we're so unbelievably excited about Jess coming over, I'm sure I've pissed my pants about 6 times. (Yes, poetry always was my strong point.) It's moments like these - say the 24-hours counting up to the big moment - when it finally starts to feel really real. Like in the past few weeks and days I've been at work, and doing stuff and telling everyone that Jess is coming, but I felt that real tingle of excitement in my belly just today.
Anyway, Jess my dad's already in the process of sorting out your lunch - a most scrumptious flavour-filled heavenly Chicken Kofta curry (which is just like chicken meatballs cooked in a super duper Indian way), which is my most favourite meal to eat with salad and rice. Only the best for the Jess.
My mum seems to have decided to start cleaning the porch for your arrival. Which is bizarre cos I hardly think you're gonna notice it, mess or no mess. I've got you out some fresh new bedsheets and I'll probably buy you some yummy cereals for the morning. How does Crunchy Nut sound? Coco Pops? Having a guest is an excuse to eat all those food I normally wouldn't. My dad tried to tell me that I should cook you a full fried English every morning - sausages, eggs, hash browns, fried tomatoes etc. Errr...yeah dad, okay. I could never do that to your arteries Jess! Haha can you tell that food is quite a focal point in the house?
Oh and Cha's just messaged me to let me know she's got a sim card, I have a spare phone lying around, so all systems are go on the mobile phone front.
Okay I'd better get back to final preparations.
Oh by the way, just to get the London leg of trip off to a good start, I found out today that I start getting paid from next week AND it'll be part time which means I'll have spare time to spend with you!
Party times!
