Day 5

Today was exciting. Jenn and I went to 34th to do a bit of shopping, then we went to where Mary Louise Parker's pay is to try to get her autograph. She's crazy about there being no cameras AT ALL around her when she's signing. She's really nice and signs a lot of autographs (I got three...I have to earn 'em if I want to keep one :) Anyway, I didn't know, but Peter Stormayre is also in the play. I would love to see it, but I didn't know about it till too late as I only have tomorrow left and most shows (this included) are dark Mondays. Ah, well.
Anyway, Peter Stormayer is really nice. He stayed and chatted with people and took tons of pictures. He gave me a huge hug, which was surprising. I put another picture of him as it's a bit difficult to tell who he is with the stage makeup and scarf in my pic with him.

This is the picture I had Mary Louise Parker sign for me. If you haven't seen the show "Weeds" you definitely should. Start from the beginning, though.

After that I came back to the apartment to drop off our shopping stuff. I was going to go to the UCB like the fam and I used to do when we were all here, but no one could go with me. I was thinking about going alone, but after taking some amazing advice from my amazing sister who always gives me the best advice EVER I decided (or agreed, really) that I should try to make new amazing memories instead of trying to relive the ones that have passed. Plus, the UCB would have probably just been depressing by myself after all of the good memories I have with Varsi and the fam there.
So, I went to work with Jenn and Tyler to the after party for James Gandolfini's play opening. It was a lot of fun.
The first celeb we spotted was Marth Stewart. She was pretty bitchy and just walked past mumbling something about it being cold. Which it was.
James Gandolfini only stopped to give a few autographs, but I snapped this pic of him....he's the only one I got paparazzi style...that typically creeps me out, but whatever. He was nice enough. I don't blame him for just wanting to get to his party.

I have to tell you that these pictures of me are terrible. It starts off and ends with terrible pictures of me, but I don't care. It was freezing and windy.
Marcia Gay Harden

Joey Pantoliano (who was AMAZINGLY nice)

Rupert Everett (also very nice)

Eric Mabius (nice again)

Jena Melone...from my favorite movie, Saved. She was strange. Her voice sounds like a 4 year old shy girl.

Amber Tamblin. She was sooo nice! I dropped the pen and instead of just running on she waited and was like "you poor thing, your fingers must be freezing."

Fran Drescher...yes, she does sound like that in person. You know what I'm talking about. She was nice enough, but I have a feeling it was only because she was being video taped by someone. She wasn't really that interested in taking this pic with me, but I kinda hounded her. I've become one of those people who I think are lame.

That's me being freezing. Jenn thinks I look like a little China doll in this pic. She took it, she can say what she wants. I keep forgetting to flip these before I post them. Sorry.

We also got autographs from James Gandolfini, America Fererra, and Geoffrey Rush (the bad guy from Pirates. Nice guy, no picture. That was early in the night when I was being not as forward). Eadie Falco, who plays Gandolfini's wife in the Sopranos, was also there, but she never gives autographs, apparently. (that's a lot of commas)

Tomorrow I'm going to try to see Kat Von D as she goes to or comes out of Jimmy Fallon. I said something about her and Tyler was like "oh, yeah! She'll be on Fallon Monday!" Nice timing, Kat. I hear she's a bit of a bitch, but I don't care...if she doesn't want to sign my paper then that's cool. I can understand not wanting to be bothered. I'd probably be a bitchy celeb.
One more full NYC day left then Tuesday I have to catch a cab to the airport around 6:30pm. I'm a bit sad. I'm going to miss this city again.
Night night and until next time!
