more Port Angeles/more Whidbey/some Seattle

Last night of the trip. Hanging out in Seattle. The weather for this entire trip has been amazing. There hasn't been a need for a coat at all...not one drop of rain. A bit of mist in La Push and the Hoh, but that's about it. We wanted to escape the heat of California and get some good 'ol cold weather, but it's been mild back home and warm here, and it's about to be in the 90's when we get back. Go figure.
I didn't have my pictures uploaded when I posted my last blog, so these are some I took in Port Angeles, Whidbey, and Seattle.
This is the most beautiful place EVER! Crescent Lake...between Forks and Port Angeles.
Port Angeles
The Port Angeles "aquarium"

These are called squirts, but don't they look just like hearts?! I love them.
We found this poor baby on the ground near the Vancouver ferry terminal.
We had an early dinner at Bella Italia in Port Angeles. It was pretty amazing.
I had manicotti
Stefano had pesto tortellini
and Lindsey got mushroom ravioli...no coke. ;)
Then we had spumoni and rhubarb crumble for dessert.

Then we drove to Port Townsend to catch the ferry, but had an hour to kill so we went to the brewery for some chugs. Very good beer that they make there.

Then we caught the ferry

The second night in Whidbey we had a little fire in Robin's back yard with some high class brew.

The animals all love Stefano.
The last day in Whidbey we went to Fort Casey and had a picnic and flew a kite. Very fun. I read aloud for about 20 minutes while people listened and did a bit of snoozing. I'm riveting when I read aloud...but the wanted me to keep reading (likely so they could sleep better).
Whidbey Island deer have no fear.

The day before this we saw grey whales, so we kept stopping to see if we could spot them again...only Stefano got out with me this time.

Cubby is the best dog in the world.
We were taking this picture while waiting for the elevator at the hotel and Lindsey decided she should move the light that was overhead so that it would give off a more flattering light, then....
...she burned herself. This is her saying something like "THIS S*** IS REAL!" (see 'I'm on a boat' via youtube)

We went to Pikes

...where I had the best tuna melt of my life.

We went to the Space Needle. My boo's paid for me since I'm out of money.
Stefano, being the boy that he is, decided to turn it into an alien/war movie of some sort.
Last night we went out with one of Lindsey's friends, Chas, and did more high class drinking before walking around and realizing that everything here closes by 2am....so we went to ihop. Classy.
Today we went to see the troll that lives under the 99 bridge on 36th street. This is Lindsey and Chas.

and the three of us
Dinner at the brewery across the street from the hotel. Gotta love convenience.

Tomorrow we'll be off. Headed back home. Kinda sucks. This is the last day of my semester off adventures. I'll be spending the evening reading and getting rest because there is a lot of driving tomorrow, especially since I have to go pick up my car from my dad since he was amazing enough to keep it well for me while I have been gone.
I should post one or two more of these before the official end to the adventure blogs, then I'll just do regular life blogs, I promise. :)
