Today we went to the Hoh (ho) rain forest. It's absolutely gorgeous! We saw an elk (very close), a flying squirrel, tiny salmon babies, and were nearly attacked by a Grouse. We thought it was a bear or something...the thing makes an insane sound by beating its wings to its chest or something. We went to the visitor's center after and asked what makes that sound and the guy happily informed us that it was just a grouse. He said he'd been attacked by one, though, and that they're pretty vicious.

In the morning we went to the Forks Coffee Shop for breakfast. It was pretty good.
I picked up a rock in La Push on First Beach that was beautiful and looked just like a heart (and I do love hearts) but I left it, so I made up for it today. I didn't take them, though, don't trip. I know all about sustainability of eco systems and natural sustainability...and "if everyone took one..." (mom)

Sadly we didn't see any salamanders today, but it was still amazing.
By the way, the pictures that are longer (not the panoramics) are ones that Lindsey has taken. Have to give photo props. :)
