May 3: On a Boat

Today we (Rosh, Cha, and I) went on a return bus trip to Greenwich from Westminster with Rosh's family. Family being her sister, mum, Masi (aunt...mom's sister), cousin, and uncle Jack.

here's us comparing polish on the train. There's Bhavi's famous Primark shoe there, too. :)

Mum in the train station.

You know these girls by now. :)

Finally on the boat.

There's another one of Cleopatra's Needle for you, mom.

Rosh, Bhavi, and Niraj (cousin)

They got their flippy floppys.

It was windy, so Cha made herself a flag out of her scarf.

Tower of London

Tower Bridge and me.

Rosh says we look like some crazy indie band.

Family

Jack is there in the back.

They get it from their mama.

The Greenwich naval academy. The only picture I have from Greenwich. The market was amazing and I actually bought something...which is saying something for my broke self. It was a have to have, though, and it was cheap. Oh, and I bought myself a book. Of course.

Getting back on the boat.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Rosh asked Niraj if he knew the name of the river...he said 'The Dirty.' Word, Nirajio, word.

Isle of dogs over there...with the tallest building in the country. Economic area and all that.

Tower bridge. Again. Sick of it yet?

London Bridge...as you can see.

The Millennium Bridge....that will be getting effed up in the new Harry Potter movie...as Luke and I saw many times in our 20 minutes of watching trailers in Dublin.

Chandni and Niraj

We're off the boat.

Big Ben tower...not the bell.

Sri Lankan protesters. Everyone should really be educated on what is going on with Sri Lanka at the moment. You can start here:

Came across this on our walk.

and this. I think that horse is rabid.

I accidentally stood a little too close at first and was a tad worried about being stabbed with that sword. Or at least told off. None of the above happened, though, but he was nice enough to look at the camera. I was tempted to try to get him to laugh, but I resisted looking like the bigger idiot. Kinda.

There was a festival in Trafalgar Square today.

Then we were on our way home. Look at that look. Rough.

DARN YOU, WILLESDEN JUNCTIONNNN!!! This is where I got messed up with the overground/underground stuff the day before yesterday. grrrrr. Apparently platform 3 is the place to be. For the Bakerloo and Wembley bound overground, at least.

Niraj is a bit amusing.

When we got home the girls gave me a bit of a singing into water bottles performance. They had been practicing Mariah Carey's 'My All' for me while I was away in Ireland. Very amazing.

I'm off to bed. I hope everyone is enjoying more frequent blog action :)
