Back in the US

first i'll apologise for the lack of capitalization on this one. my sister only has one working shift key and it's not the one i'm used to, so i'm not using it. you'll get by. i promise.

my flight yesterday from london was great. i had two seats by the window to myself, the movies were good, and i was able to sleep about 3 hours, which was beautiful. it was even early coming in to atlanta. the flight from atlanta, though, was delayed a half an hour then got diverted to dayton, ohio because of bad weather in chicago...the airport got shut down for about an hour. let me just tell you that watching lightning from a distance from an airplane window is beautiful and terrifying, but being so close that all you can see is the whole sky turn an amazing shade -one i've never seen- of blue and purple because the lightning is on top of you...terrifying. i got a video, but true to form the real stuff happened right before and right after i turned my camera on and off. the turbulence...forget about it. it was terrible. i was terrified. it was terrifying. and pretty cool. i kept thinking about how much fun varsi would have been having trying to get pictures and riding the ride. it was as bad as the turbulence we had on the flight moving back from nyc.
riding on the other side of the street again. wow. also terrifying.

sleeping alone is strange. not using a plug adaptor is convenient. being with my sister is amazing. missing my girls hurts.
