Professor Layton is a hot older man.

Evening all. It's been a few days since we've updated this thing. Not much has gone on really, we're still waiting for Jess' foot to properly heal. It's still proving to be a little painful to walk long lengths. But in all honesty the ankle has little to do with it. I'm taking full responsibility for the lack of updateration up on the blog. Yes, yes, it's true. I have unwittingly (or maybe I kinda saw it happening but I'll remain in denial always and forever) got Jess absolutely HOOKED on this Nintendo DS game that I received for Christmas:

PROFESSOR LAYTON AND THE CURIOUS VILLAGE

I don't know if any of you have heard of this game - I certainly hadn't before I got it - but apparantly it's a top-seller. And it's hella addictive. I've heard some stories of people shutting themselves in a room for 3 days and getting through the whole thing. That's either a massive amount of perseverence or...shall we say a problem that only a few sessions of therapy might resolve.

Anyway, I finished it a few months ago and had forgotten about it, but decided that while Jess is still relatively immobile, it'd be a good way for her to get some brain exercise. Now, don't get me wrong, we've still shared lots of cuddles, watched movies, visited the Wembley Stadium and made a few random trips to the supermarkets (after all, DS or no DS, one still cannot do without food and mouthwash, dahlings!), but the baby blog has been usurped by the not-so-baby Professor Layton, and his sidekick Luke, as recipient of Jess' attention.

I'm proud to say, however, that Cha and I still trump any gizmo or gadget when it comes to getting Jess' love, care and attention. So take THAT Layton!

My only worry is Jess' attempts at perfecting the London accent will be veered off course by the dodgy British accents used in the game...

Promise to keep you posted on that.
