Day 2 / Day 3

Day 2 started out easy. Since I twisted my ankle the first day I rested it a bit and slept in because of damn jetlag. It's one word. Don't look it up.
I met up with my childhood friend, Conor, later in the day after he had a long day of work, etc. He and I hadn't seen each other for ten or eleven years and it was amazing to see him. Right after I had moved back from NY he emailed me on Myspace and it turned out that he had lived in the building behind the Barnes and Noble where I was working at the time. Insanity. Only one change in bus schedule, train schedule...even just stepping into a different train car. I would have recognised him anywhere. I grew up with this guy...and he has the exact same eyes.
I stayed the night with him and his boyfriend, who is amazing. It was a great night.
Here's Conor picking out veggies for dinner:

The next day, day three, started and ended as another amazing day. I woke up to Conor dancing around and singing ABBA, which made my damn day. We watched some Rachel Maddow then headed out for some breakfast and shopping. We went around SOHO and Tribeca to a diner that serves gluten free stuff, then to an amazing fabric shop where I got some amazing fabrics for myself and one for another someone (who doesn't know it's coming yet, so I won't say). Then we went to Uniqlo and another fabric, etc. place near Canal (where there were tons of tourists) so I was able to get Roshni's t-shirt that she requested :)
After that I came back to Jenn's where we decided to catch a rush show of Irena's Vow. It's still in previews, so there was a special guest at the end. It was amazing...if you can see it, you should. It's a true story about a woman (Irena) who hid and saved 13 Jewish men and women during WW2. Her daughter was the one who spoke after the play.
But before the play we had some time to kill so we got some Junior's Cheesecake (I'm still eating mine)

Then Tyler (Jenn's husband) met up with us right before the show.

Then we caught Jane Fonda coming out of her show and I got my picture with her and an autograph. Jenn and Tyler collect autographs and sell them on their website http://www.toppixautographs.com/ Jane was nice, and looks way older in person. Firecracker of an old woman, that one.

After that we came home (I hobbled, they walked) and crashed.

I'll update on today later.
Until next time!
