On the 3rd we were planning on going to the Swaminarayan Temple, but there was some big thing on or something so we couldn't go. Instead, we planned on simply going to Leicester Square to get Haagen Dazs since my foot was feeling better, but still hurting a bit. It didn't require a lot of walking. So, after baby sis got out of school (early, as it was the friday before Easter holidays) we left.

We met up with Ahmed, who was wearing these amazingly mismatched socks.

We took the tube to Picadilly Circus, but didn't see much of that as we were headed to Leicester (like lester) Square, where I tried to get a proper tourist picture inside one of the telephone booths, but....
...it smelled like urine so badly that I had to get OUT. Love cities.
Here's us all in Trafalgar Square, which was later, but I happened to load it out of order.

Haaaaaaagen Dazzzzs

After leaving Haagen Dazs I decided to defy my foot and walk more. I DID NOT want to go back to the amazingness of Wembley and the great indoors sooner than necessary. So, we decided to walk to Trafalgar Square.
Walking... (you can see the London Eye if you know what to look for)

They were bare excited that I kept stopping to take pictures.

Trafalgar Square

Rosh calls this her Everest. She tried so hard to get up there. A guy even came over and showed her how.

That's the National Gallery in the background.

A bit out of order again, sorry. Rosh's headline for this series of pictures is 'I gave birth to this!!' (this being me) as she said it quite loudly after Bhavi took the other one 4 pictures up.

So, after hanging out in Trafalgar Square and getting a pretty nice view of Big Ben, and seeing some of the London Eye, I couldn't stop there. I've been inside resting my foot for AGES. So, we walked down to the Thames, to Embankment.
Lovely scenery.

Helpful

The West Coast Tour kids will enjoy these since Rosh and I took so many flower pictures in the last Cali/Oregon/Washington trip.

I had to lie flat on the ground for this one. These buggers grow low.

There's LOADS of dandelions around here right now. They're gorgeous.
Bhavini was trying out the macro mode on her camera. Highly amusing.

Taking pictures of us taking pictures of us.

There's an eye in this picture. Can you find it?

We were going to stop there, but then we saw a carousel on the South Bank, so we HAD to cross. Especially since Rosh and I had so much fun on the one in SF.
Views from the bridge:

Dad took pictures of us as we rode the carousel...

My steed.

Bhavi's steed (cheers, dad!)

Rosh's pony. Shaw is a pony name.

Excitement ensues.

Underground pictures

We decided to finally return to the West and get some food. Nando's was amazing. Chicken place. It was more fun than it should have been.

My foot was aching quite a bit by the end of all of this, but it's still not feeling as bad as it was when I first got here. Slowly but surely. They almost forced me to go back to the hospital, but I refused. Actually, it was on this day you'll see down there (stadium day) that I was almost forced back. You'll see why.
APRIL SECOND
Nothing else to do, wanted to test out the 'ol walking organ (we're all calling it that now after Varsi put it in an email) so we went to the Wembley Stadium. It's all of 5 minutes driving from Rosh's place, so why not. We didn't end up staying long, though, because my foot was burning like crazy. I didn't expect this inconvenience to this trip. Good thing I have a good amount of time here, and that I'm spending it with my lovely ladies.

Hum...I thought I put more stadium pictures up. Sorry. I'll add the video to make up for it. Since my dad's complaining about foul language, I'll warn you that someone says 'f' and 's' in the video. Happy?
Hopefully I'll have lots of more amazing pictures to put up soon. My foot's still hurting, so things are still going slowly, but at least getting out of the house is actually happening. Never take for granted being able to walk around well.
I'm looking forward to two weeks of Cha being off work. Her parents are in Whales, so we have the place to ourselves. Rosh has half work days and Fridays off now. This is going to be amazing. Hopefully the weather stays sunny, warm, and breezy. Doubtful. This is London.
Night night.
:)
PS. Lindsey, I promise to have more Picadilly Circus stuff up for you soon. I'm sad to say that I don't have anything exciting to report thus far on that front.
wow. The video finally loaded....I hope the still shot I have isn't the one that shows up all the time.
you should definitely posts lots more videos. it makes me feel a little closer. although, i'd love to hear roshni say "f" and "s" in person.
